ABOUT Tandoori Chicken Without Oven RECIPE

If you love to hog on chicken, then we are sure that tandoori chicken tops your list of favourite chicken recipes. Tandoori chicken is basically marinated chicken cooked in a tandoor oven or a normal grill oven. The meat is cooked till tender and the spices give a delicious aroma and flavour to the chicken. But not many people have ovens or tandoors at home. Students and bachelors usually do not have ovens at home. So, does that mean you can never try out tandoori chicken at home? Not really! We have found a perfect solution for you here. The tandoori chicken recipe which we have for you here today can be made even without a tandoor or oven. You just need a big pan and the cooking ingredients to create magic in your own kitchen.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 1 whole chicken, cut in 10-12 pieces
  2. 200 gms Dahi/Curd
  3. 1 tbsp Butter
  4. 1 tsp turmeric powder
  5. 2 tbsp red chilli powder
  6. Salt to taste
  7. 2 tbsp oil
  8. 1 piece of charcoal
  9. ginger garlic paste
  10. Garnish
  11. Coriander leaves
  12. Onion slices
  13. lemons halves

Instructions

  1. Make some deep cuts into the chicken pieces
  2. For marination add yogurt, red chilli powder, ginger garlic paste and salt to taste.
  3. Keep aside the marinated chicken for 30 minutes
  4. In a pan add some oil and salted butter, place the chicken pieces in the pan
  5. Cook each sides properly until you get nice golden brown colour, cook for 10-12 minutes
  6. Heat the charcoal until its red in colour
  7. In the bowl where the tandoori chicken is placed, keep a small steel glass and place the coal in it and add some oil and cover the lid.
  8. Garnish it with coriander leaves, onion and lemon
  9. Tandoori Chicken is ready to be served!
