ABOUT Soya keema paratha RECIPE

A yummy protein packed dish for soya lovers. My hubby and little munchkin love this soya stuffed paratha with fresh curd and mango pickle. I usually didn't like the taste of soya chunks. But one day I thought to try something with soya chunks. My in-laws are pure vegetarian but my darling hubby is non veg lover. Every body know that soya chunks can be a substitute for non veg also. Heard once about keema parathas in delhi so i tried this with soya chunks and succeeded. My hubby too praised this experiment which gave e goose bumps for more experimenting.

Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. One bowl soya chunks soaked 20 to 30 minutes before
  2. One chopped onion
  3. 2 green chillies chopped
  4. Few garlic cloves crushed
  5. Salt
  6. Half tbsp turmeric powder
  7. One tbsp red chilli powder
  8. One tbsp coriander powder
  9. Chopped fresh coriander
  10. One bowl wheat flour
  11. Salt to taste
  12. Water for kneading dough
  13. One tbsp oil

Instructions

  1. Mix wheat flour and salt and knead into soft dough and keep aside
  2. Squeeze water from the soya chunks and grind coarsely in the grinder
  3. Now heat oil in kadai and add chopped chillies garlic and onion. Saute till brown
  4. Now add soya chunks and all the dry masalas and mix
  5. Cook few minutes and add chopped coriander leaves. Switch off the stove. Let it cool
  6. Now make equal size balls from the dough. Shape it like a bowl with fingers and stuff it with soya mixture and seal
  7. Roll out into parathas carefully and cook it on tawa from both the sides till golden brown
  8. Now serve it with fresh curd and mango pickle
