ABOUT Soya keema paratha RECIPE

A delicious soya keema stuffed paratha. Rich in taste and proteins. A perfect delight for vegetarians. Spicy and delicious. Can have with any tomatoe based curry or curd or raita. Kids will enjoy every bite of it just like mine.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 3 cups wheat flour
  2. Salt to taste
  3. lukewarm water to mix the dough
  4. 1 tsp oil
  5. for the stuffing:
  6. 1 cup soya chunks
  7. sufficient hot water to soak the soya chunks
  8. 1 large onion
  9. One teaspoon Ginger garlic paste
  10. half teaspoon garam masala powder
  11. Half teaspoon red chilli powder
  12. Half teaspoon roasted cumin powder
  13. quarter teaspoon turmeric
  14. Half teaspoon dry mango powder
  15. 2 Chopped Green chillies
  16. 3 tablespoons chopped coriander
  17. 2 tbsp Oil
  18. Oil / ghee for frying parathas

Instructions

  1. add salt and lukewarm water into the wheat flour and make a semi soft dough for the paratha
  2. cover and keep for 15 to 20 minutes
  3. immerse the soya chunks in the hot water with some salt and cover and leave for 10 to 15 minutes.remove and drain
  4. squeeze and add to a mixie jar grind coarsely
  5. heat oil in a saucepan at the finely chopped onions and saute till transparent
  6. and the ginger garlic paste and finely chopped green chillies and saute further
  7. and the red chilli powder and garam masala powder
  8. Saute and cook for 2 minutes
  9. now add this onion masala to the coarsely ground soya
  10. are the remaining spices and the chopped coriander and mix the mixture
  11. leave aside
  12. make large lemon sized balls of the wheat flour dough
  13. take a ball flatten it and make it like a cup by pressing the sides and keeping it thick in the middle
  14. now add 2 tablespoons or a little more of the Soya stuffing
  15. keep pressing the stuffing in the middle and join the sides by binding all corners together like a momo
  16. pinch and remove any excess dough from the top
  17. now flatten this stuffed ball on a plate of wheat flour and dust it with wheat flour on both the sides and start rolling to a thick paratha
  18. Rolled paratha
  19. heat a tawa and add this paratha to a heated tawa
  20. dry roast on both sides till brown spots appear
  21. now smear ghee or oil as per your wish and Roast and cook further on both sides
  22. paratha is ready to serve
  23. enjoy this paratha with any tomato mutter curry , raita ,plain curd or any pickles
