ABOUT Khichda RECIPE

Its a very famous recipe, a non vegetarian khichdi, made woth chicken , dal , rice and spices.

Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. For making chicken:-Chicken - 150grams
  2. onion - 1
  3. Fried onions - 1/2cup
  4. Lemon - 1
  5. Tomato -1
  6. Cilantro - For garnishing
  7. Ginger/garlic/green chillie paste - 3tablespoon
  8. Red chillie powder - 1tablespoon
  9. Turmeric powder - 1tablespoon
  10. Water - 1/2cup
  11. Salt - As required
  12. Garam masala powder - 1tablespoon
  13. Cumin /corrainder powder - 1tablespoon
  14. Oil - 3tablespoon
  15. For daal
  16. Chana daal/moong dal/urad daal - 1cup mix
  17. Rice - 1/2cup
  18. Broken wheat - 1/4cup
  19. Salt - As required
  20. Water -1cup
  21. Turmeric powder - 1tablespoon

Instructions

  1. Soak the daal for 30mins wash and put it in cooker add water ,salt and turmeric take 6-7vessels.
  2. In a pan add oil than add onion saute it for 2-3mins than add tomato add g/g/g paste saute it for 2mins.
  3. Than add all the spieces mix well add chicken.
  4. Once its done add water and cook it till its done.
  5. Than add the mashed daal in it.
  6. Dish out in a plate garnish it with some fried onions and cilantro and lemon slice.
