ABOUT Bathua paratha RECIPE

A different and unusual parathas, which are very delicious and can be served for breakfast.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. Bathua leaves - 500 gms
  2. Boiled n mash potato - 2
  3. Chopped green chilly - 1 /4 tsp
  4. Chopped coriander leaves - 2 tbsp
  5. Ginger paste - 1 tsp
  6. Asafoetida - a pinch
  7. Red chilly powder - 1/4 tsp
  8. Wheat flour - 1 cup
  9. Carom seeds - a pinch
  10. Salt - to taste
  11. Oil - 4 tbsp

Instructions

  1. Clean and wash bathua leaves.
  2. Steam in the pressure cooker.
  3. Once cooled, strain and mash it
  4. Add green chilly,coriander leaves,ginger paste,asafoetida,red chilly powder.,salt and boiled n mashed potato and mix well.
  5. Now stuffing is ready.
  6. Take a bowl add wheat flour,salt,carom seeds and one tbsp oil and mix well.
  7. With the help of water knead a dough.
  8. Keep aside for 30 mins.
  9. Divide the dough into round balls.
  10. Stuff 2 tbsp bathua leaves mixture and seal the edges.
  11. Place the paratha on the hot pan.
  12. Apply oil on both the sides.
  13. Serve hot.
