ABOUT Stuffed Bathua Pantha. RECIPE

This is a traditional Punjabi breakfast, a filling stuffed parathas served with some curd and pickle on the side.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 250 gm bathua
  2. 4 chopped onion
  3. 2 green chillies
  4. Salt
  5. 1/4 tsp cumin seeds
  6. Oil
  7. 1 cup wheat flour

Instructions

  1. Blanch the bathua leaves, blend them to form a puree.
  2. Take the wheat flour in a mixing bowl.
  3. Add salt and cumin seeds.
  4. Add the bathua puree and knead a semi soft dough.
  5. Finely chop the onion and green chillies, mix them together and also add a pinch of salt to the mix.
  6. Make 2 thin chapathis out of the dough.
  7. Fill onion stuffing in them and roll them.
  8. Heat tawa amd roast the parathas, add little oil on the sides and cook them until done.
  9. Cook both sides
  10. Serve with curd.
