Bitter gourds are very healthy especially for the diabetic people, so here is an interesting and tasty recipe made with the skin of the bitter gourds.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. 4 bitter gourds
  2. 2 tbsp besan
  3. 1 chopped onion
  4. 1 green chilly
  5. Salt
  6. 1 cup of wheat flour

Instructions

  1. Scrape the peels of bitter gourd
  2. Sprinkle some salt and keep in sunlight for few minutes.
  3. Wash and strain properly
  4. heat a pan with 1 tsp of oil and saute the bitter gourd peels in it.
  5. Add besan and saute on a low flame, cook until the besan is cooked.
  6. Cool it
  7. Add chopped onion and green chillies.
  8. Add little salt.
  9. Now knead a semi soft dough using wheat flour, salt and water. Divide the dough into equal sized roundels and stuff each of them with the bitter gourd mix.
  10. Roll them out and shallow fry or roast them on a hot tawa using very little oil.
  11. Serve with curd.
