ABOUT Onion Parantha(Pyaz k Paranthe) RECIPE

This is a traditional punjabi breakfast, a filling paratha made with onion, to be served with some pickle and curd.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 4 chopped onion
  2. 2 green chillies
  3. Salt
  4. 1/4 tsp chat masala
  5. Butter [as required]
  6. 1 cup of wheat flour

Instructions

  1. Finely chop the onion and green chillies.
  2. Add salt and chat masala to the above.
  3. Mix well
  4. Now knead a semi soft dough using wheat flour, salt, oil and water. rest it for 10 minutes.
  5. Divide the dough into equal portions, stuff each portion with the onion filling, reshape and flatten them to form the parathas. Cook them on a hot tawa using very little oil on the sides. serve hot.
  6. Serve with butter.
