ABOUT Murg kalimirch RECIPE

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Chicken - 1/2 kg
  2. Onions - 4
  3. Tomatoe - 1 large
  4. Ginger garlic paste - 3 tbsps
  5. Green chillies - 2
  6. Curry leaves - 2 to 3 sprigs
  7. Coriander - 1 small bunch
  8. Cumin seeds - 1 tsp
  9. Spice powders - 2 tbsps Freshly crushed black pepper
  10. Garam masala - 1/2 tsp
  11. Dhaniya jeera powder - 1 1/2tbsps
  12. Lemon - 1/2
  13. Turmeric - 1/2 tsp
  14. Red chilli powder - 1 tsp
  15. Salt to taste
  16. Oil - 4 tbsps

Instructions

  1. Marinate chicken with lemon, salt, broken green chilies, 2 tbsps ginger garlic paste for minimum 2 hours
  2. Add oil to a kadhai. Add cumin seeds and allow to splutter
  3. Now add the onions and curry leaves
  4. Saute till transperant
  5. Add 1 tsp of ginger garlic paste and saute till the raw smell goes away
  6. Add the marinated chicken peices
  7. Mix well and cook till turns white
  8. Now add the tomatoes and spice powders and mix well
  9. Add 2 cups of water, salt to season cover and Simmer till gravy thickens a bit and chicken turns tender
  10. Serve with steamed rice or phulkas
