Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. Lady finger/bhindi - 250 gms
  2. Chopped onion - 1
  3. Ginger Garlic Paste - 1 tsp
  4. Coriander powder - 1 tsp
  5. Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
  6. Red Chilly powder - 1 tsp
  7. Garam masala - 1/2 tsp
  8. Salt - to taste
  9. Black Salt - 1/2 tsp
  10. Roasted cumin seeds powder - 1 tsp
  11. Fenugreek seeds - a pinch
  12. Amchur powder - 1/2 tsp
  13. Chopped tomato - 1
  14. Oil - 1/2 cup

Instructions

  1. Wash bhindi properly.
  2. Cut the edges of the bhindi on both the side.
  3. Now cut them length wise from one side.
  4. Heat oil in a pan.
  5. Deep fry the bhindi in medium flame.
  6. Drain and keep aside.
  7. Again heat oil in a pan.
  8. Add fenugreek seeds to crackle.
  9. Add chopped onion and saute till transparent.
  10. Add ginger garlic paste,coriander powder,red chilly powder,turmeric powder and garam masala powder
  11. Stir well and saute for 4 - 5mins
  12. Add tomato and saute till tomatoes are soft.
  13. When tomatoes become soft then add fried bhindi,salt black salt,roasted cumin seeds powder and amchur powder.
  14. Cook for 4 - 5 mins.
  15. Serve the bhindi masala hot with chapatis or rice.
