Peel arvi , boil for 1 whistle , flatten them slightly
Chop green chilli , ginger and garlic , make paste with little water
Chop onions
Heat oil , add cumin seeds , Kalaonji seeds , coriander seeds
Add hing , saute for 2_3 mins
Add chopped onion , saute until translucent
Add ginger garlic and chilli paste
Make tomato puree with water
Add turmeric powder
Add Cumin powder
Add coriander powder
Add red chilli powder , saute for 2_3 mins , add salt also
In another pan add oil and shallow fry arvi in batches
Next add tomato puree to the spices mixture , saute until oil separates from the masala
Whisk curd
Add curd to the fried masala , saute for 5_6 mins
Add fried arvi
Mix well with the masala
Add water , when gravy turns thick , switch off gas , add garam masala
Garnish with chopped coriander leaves
Serve hot with rice or chapati or paratha
