Heat ghee in a cooker
Add sugar and melt till golden
Add onion
Add cinnamon stick
When onion is golden, add soaked daal with double quantity water
Add red chilli powder
Add dhania powder
Add salt
Add ginger
Cook for 10 minutes on slow heat after a whistle
Open the lid when pressure drops
Add curd
Add garam masala
Add sliced red chilli
Add cream
Cook for 5 minutes on slow heat
Add coal dhuan if you prefer
Garnish with coriander leaves
Serve hot with roti and steamed rice
