ABOUT Tuver bajri kadhi RECIPE

Tuver bajri kadhi is made in winters mostly when we get fresh pigeon peas. It goes with roti or rice, you can also eat with plain khichdi.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 2 cups fresh pigeon peas(tuver)
  2. 1 cup sour curd
  3. 2 cups water
  4. 8 tbsp black millet flour
  5. 2 tbsp ginger and green chilli paste
  6. Salt
  7. 2 tbsp jaggery (optional)
  8. 1 tbsp ghee
  9. 1 tbsp cumin seeds
  10. 1/8 tsp fenugreek seeds
  11. Pinch asafoetida
  12. 1 dry red chilli
  13. Bay leaf
  14. Inch of cinnamon
  15. 2 cloves
  16. Few curry leaves
  17. Coriander leaves
  18. Few chives

Instructions

  1. Take curd, add water, add black millet and blend it .
  2. Now keep boiling on low flame and stir it.
  3. Add fresh pigeon peas, salt, ginger and green chilly paste and keep boiling.
  4. After 12 minutes switch off gas, because kadhi is almost done .
  5. Take another wok, add ghee, asafoetida, cumin seeds, when it crackles add bay leaf, cinnamon, dry red chilli, cloves and curry leaves and switch off flame. Temper it on kadhi, add coriander and chives to garnish kadhi .
