ABOUT Thalipeeth ( A Maharastrian multigrain flat bread) RECIPE
A healthy multigrain substitute for kids for Roti. Shallow fried Roti made of Ragi, Jowar, Soya, Yellow Maize, Besan, Rice and Wheat flour with added Urad flour and Moth flour too.

Ingredients Serving: 2
Ragi flour 1 tsp ( heaped )
Soya flour 1 tsp ( heaped )
Gram flour 1 tsp ( heaped )
Yellow Maize flour 1 tsp ( heaped )
Jowar flour 1 tsp (heaped )
Rice flour 1 tsp( heaped )
Urad daal flour 1 tsp( heaped )
Moth flour 1tsp ( heaped )
Wheat flour 2 tsp
Ghee 1 tbsp
Boiled and mashed potato 1 ( big)
Finely chopped Spinach 1 tbsp
Coriander leaves finely chopped 1 tsp
Zeera roasted 1/ 2 tsp
Ajwain 1/2 tsp
Sesame seeds roasted 1 tsp
Turmeric powder, Red chilli powder, Salt to taste
Dhania powder 1 tsp
Sugar 1 tsp
Oil for shallow frying
Instructions
Mix all flours.
Add masala, mashed potato, 1 tbsp oil and knead a dough with warm water.
Now make balls of size you want to make thalipeeth.
Heat a nonstick griddle , roll thalipeeth( little thicker than Roti ) .
Place rolled one on a heated tawa , turn first side half cooked. Let second side cook little brownish.
Spread 1/2 tsp oil and turn. Apply 1/2 tsp to other side. Don't over cook as we don't want to make it crispy.
Serve with boondi / veggie raita or simply with plain curd.
