This rasam is very yummy. My favourite dish. Mother would make it for us. Now she is 82 years.

Take a deep steel pot. Add tomatoes, tamarind water extract, sambar powder, salt,turmeric powder. Add cooked dal and adjust the water to get rasam consistency
Switch on the stove
For seasoning, take a small kadai,add ghee,add all the seasoning ingredient.add lastly the corainder powder,curry leaves and coriander and pour over the rasam
Remove as soon as it froths. Do not boil
Serve
