Soak small lemon size Tamarind for 15 mins
Extract tamarind juice
Pressure cook 1/4 Cup Tuvr dal and Tomatoes 2
Mash dal and Tomatoes
Take 2 tbsp Coriander seeds, 1 tbsp Channa dal, 1 TSP pepper, 1 TSP jeera, hing , 5 red chillies and 1/2 TSP Methi
Heat Sesame oil and roast the masala till you get good aroma
Add grated coconut. Roast them till you get good aroma
Cool the masala and grind to fine powder
Add masala to tamarind extract. Add salt and Turmeric. Boil the mixture
When the rasam is boiled add mashed dal and Tomatoes
Add Coriander leaves
When a frothy layer is formed turn off the flame
Prepare Seasoning with Ghee, Jeera, hing and Curry leaves
Add to rasam and serve hot
