Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. Pearl millet flour 1/2 kg
  2. Jaggery 250 grams
  3. Coconut powder 2 tbsp
  4. Sesame seeds 2 tbsp
  5. Water to knead
  6. Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Soak your jaggery in 1 cup water and let it be dissolved.
  2. As the jaggery gets dissolved, heat it a little to make this solution lukewarm.
  3. Mix the millet flour with sesame seeds and coconut powder properly and knead a smooth dough by mixing the warm water gradually.
  4. Make small balls and pat in the middle to make them flat.
  5. Heat the oil in a deep pan.
  6. Deep fry these tikkies on simmer, heat till they turn golden brown.
  7. Enjoy eating bajra cookies hot or cold.
