ABOUT Paneer ke Kofte RECIPE

Yummy kofta made of paneer. Something different from usual paneer dishes.

Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. For kofta balls:
  2. Paneer 200 gms
  3. Besan 1 cup
  4. 1 green chilli
  5. 1/2 tsp red chilli powder
  6. 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
  7. 1/4 tsp ajwain
  8. Salt to taste
  9. Oil for frying
  10. For the curry:
  11. Oil 1 tbsp
  12. 1 tsp cumin seeds
  13. 1 Onion
  14. 1 tomato
  15. Ginger garlic paste 1 tsp
  16. 1 green chilli
  17. few soaked cashew nuts
  18. 1/2 tsp red chilli powder
  19. 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
  20. 1/4 tsp garam masala
  21. A pinch of Kasuri methi
  22. 2 cups of water
  23. 1 tbsp malai/cream
  24. 1 tsp Coriander powder

Instructions

  1. FOR KOFTE BALLS
  2. take a bowl mash paneer add besan(add little little mix and check the consistency so that you can make balls
  3. then just roll it on breadcrumbs and fry till golden brown
  4. keep it aside
  5. FOR CURRY
  6. grind onion green chilli cashew nuts
  7. take a wok add oil. add cumin seeds
  8. as it started crackling add grinded paste and ginger garlic paste saute it
  9. as the colour changes add pureed tomato
  10. saute it. cook it till oil seperates from the sides
  11. add dry masalas cook for a minute
  12. add malai or cream.saute it
  13. add water keep it boiling for 5 minutes
  14. now add paneer kofta balls
  15. bring 1-2 boils and switch off the gas
  16. sprinkle garam masala and kasuri methi
