ABOUT Nasi Goreng Chicken RECIPE

Nasi goreng is a breakfast dish in Indonesia. It’s normally made from leftover rice, vegetables and meat from the evening meal. Nasi goreng is sometimes described as Indonesian stir-fried rice,which is what it actually translates to, quick and easy stir fried rice

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 500 grams of cooked rice
  2. 200 grams of finely chopped onions
  3. 2 cloves Garlic, finely chopped
  4. 2 to 3 teaspoons sambal(hot sauce: *check the my tip section for detail)
  5. 4 tablespoons oil
  6. shredded leftover chicken breast/thigh pieces
  7. 2 tablespoons salty soy sauce
  8. 3-4 tablespoon of finely chopped green onions
  9. 1 egg poached (Optional)

Instructions

  1. Blend onions garlic and sambal paste with a little salt
  2. Heat oil in a wok
  3. add the mixture and sauté the mixture in the oil until the onions are translucent
  4. Add the leftover meat and fry that briefly for a few minutes
  5. add the leftover rice now a bit at a time and keep mixing it with the other ingredients in the process
  6. Finish the nasi goreng off with two tablespoons of salty soy sauce and green onions. mix well
  7. serve warm topped with poached egg(s)(optional)
