ABOUT Amritsari fish with cheesy dip RECIPE

Fried fish which is very soft and served with hung curd.

Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. 500 gm Surmai Fish
  2. 1/2 cup besan
  3. 1 egg
  4. 1/4 tsp red chilli powder
  5. Lime juice of 1 lemon
  6. Salt to taste
  7. 1 tsp ajwain
  8. 1 tsp Ginger garlic paste
  9. Mustard Oil for Deep Frying
  10. FOR GARNISH
  11. Chat masala
  12. For dip
  13. 1 cup hung curd
  14. 1/4 tsp oregano
  15. 1/2 tsp black pepper
  16. Salt to taste
  17. 1 tsp mayonnaise

Instructions

  1. Wash and clean fish.
  2. Add lime juice and salt. Keep aside for 5 minutes.
  3. Add ginger garlic paste, ajwain and mix softly.
  4. Add egg and mix softly.
  5. Add besan ( till all egg gets absorbed). Keep aside for 5 minutes.
  6. Fry it in a hot mustard oil on a high flame.
  7. Sprinkle chat masala and serve hot with dip and onion rings.
  8. For dip take hung curd add black pepper, salt, oregano, mayonnaise. ( Make this dip 5-10 minutes before serving).
