ABOUT Paneer bhurji gravy RECIPE

Paneer bhurji is normally dry but we love this gravy version of paneer bhurji which is made very simply.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. Cottage cheese/Paneer 1 cup
  2. Oil 1 tbsp
  3. Cumin seeds 1 tsp
  4. Asafetida 1/4 tsp
  5. Onion 1 big
  6. Tomato 1 big
  7. Tomato puree 1 cup
  8. Ginger,garlic,chilli paste 1 tsp
  9. Turmeric 1/4 tsp
  10. Coriander powder 1 tsp
  11. Red chilli powder 1 tsp
  12. Garam masala 1/2 tsp
  13. Kasoori methi 1/2 tsp
  14. Cream/malai 2 tbsp
  15. Salt to taste
  16. Fresh Coriander 2 tbsp

Instructions

  1. HEAT A TBSP OIL IN A PAN AND ADD 1 TSP CUMIN SEEDS.
  2. ADD 1/4 TSP ASAFETIDA AND 1 BIG ONION CHOPPED INTO SMALL PIECES.
  3. ADD 1 TSP CRUSHED GINGER GARLIC AND GREEN CHILLI PASTE.SAUTE TILL ONIONS BROWN A LITTLE.
  4. ADD 1 BIG TOMATO CHOPPED INTO SMALL PIECES.
  5. SEASON WITH SALT AND 1/4 TSP TURMERIC.MIX WELL AND COOK FOR 2 MINUTES TILL TOMATOES BECOME MUSHY.
  6. NOW ADD 1 CUP TOMATO PUREE.MIX AND COOK TILL IT RELEASES OIL.
  7. NOW ADD A TSP OF CORIANDER POWDER AND RED CHILLI POWDER.SAUTE FOR A MINUTE.
  8. ADD 2 TBSP BEATEN CREAM AND MIX ON SLOW FLAME.
  9. NOW ADD 1 CUP CRUMBLED COTTAGE CHEESE/PANEER.MIX WELL.
  10. ADD 1/2 A TSP OF KASOORI METHI AND GARAM MASALA .
  11. LASTLY SPRINKLE SOME FRESH CORIANDER LEAVES AND SWITCH OFF THE GAS.
