Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 200 g of crumbled paneer
  2. 2 medium onions finely chopped
  3. 2 medium tomatoes finely chopped
  4. 1-2 green chillies chopped
  5. 1 tsp Ginger garlic paste
  6. Dry masalas to be added:
  7. 1 tsp Coriander powder
  8. 1 tsp cumin powder
  9. 1/2 red chilli powder
  10. 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
  11. 1/4 tsp garam masala powder
  12. 3 tbsp fresh curd
  13. 1/2 cup water
  14. 3 tbsp coriander leaves chopped
  15. 2 tbsp Oil
  16. Salt to taste
  17. Whole garam masala to be used:
  18. 1 " cinnamon stick
  19. 3 cloves
  20. 2 Green Cardamoms
  21. 5-6 black peppercorns
  22. 1 medium bay leaf
  23. 1/4 tsp cumin

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in a pan.
  2. Add the all the spices of whole garam masala and saute till the spices become aromatic.
  3. Add onions and saute till light golden brown.
  4. Add green chillies and ginger garlic paste and saute till the aroma of ginger and garlic goes away.
  5. Now add chopped tomatoes and saute them till they become soft.
  6. Add all the dry masalas.
  7. Keep the flame low and add whisked curd and stir quickly.
  8. Now add water to it.
  9. Add chopped coriander leaves and let it cook for couple of minutes.
  10. Now add the crumbled paneer and salt to it and cook for 2 more minutes.
  11. Switch off the gas and serve paneer burji with garvy along with roti, naan or paratha
