Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Tuvr dal 1/4 cup
  2. Tomato 1
  3. Tamarind small lemon size
  4. Rasam powder 2 tbsp
  5. Salt 2 tsp
  6. Turmeric powder 1/2 tsp
  7. Hing 1/2 tsp
  8. Pepper powder 1 tsp
  9. Cumin powder 1 tsp
  10. Coriander leaves
  11. For tempering
  12. ghee
  13. Jeera
  14. curry leaves

Instructions

  1. SOAK SMALL LEMON SIZE TAMARIND
  2. PRESSURE COOK 1/4 CUP TUVR DAL AND 1 TOMATO
  3. MASH DAL AND TOMATO AND ADD 3-4 CUPS OF WATER
  4. STRAIN TAMARIND JUICE AND ADD 2 TBSP RASAM POWDER
  5. ADD 1/2 TSP TURMERIC POWDER
  6. ADD 2 TSP SALT
  7. ADD 1 TSP PEPPER, JEERA POWDER AND 1/2 TSP HING. BOIL FOR 5 MINUTES
  8. ADD DAL MIXTURE
  9. WHEN FOAMY LAYER IS FORMED ADD CORIANDER LEAVES
  10. ADD TEMPERING MADE WITH GHEE, JEERA AND CURRY LEAVES. TURN OFF THE FLAME
