ABOUT Shakkarpare RECIPE

These are mildly sweet deep fried bite sized pieces made from wheat flour and semolina.It's flaky,melt in the mouth texture makes it everyones favourite snack during festive occasions.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Wheat flour-1 cup
  2. Semolina-1/4 cup
  3. Maida-1/4 cup
  4. Ghee -2 tbsp
  5. Sugar-1/4 cup
  6. milk -1/4 cup
  7. Salt-1/4 tsp

Instructions

  1. ADD 1/4 CUP SUGAR INTO 1/4 CUP MILK & COOK ON SLOW HEAT
  2. ADD 2 TBSP GHEE, COOK FOR 2 MINS, TAKE OFF HEAT & KEEP ASIDE
  3. MIX 1 CUP WHEAT FLOUR, 1/4 CUP FLOUR, 1/4 CUP SEMOLINA & 1/4 TSP SALT
  4. ADD 1/4 CUP MILK IN THE CENTRE & KNEAD INTO A DOUGH, KEEP IT TO REST
  5. ROLL A PIECE OF DOUGH INTO A THICK ROTI & CUT INTO DIAMONDS
  6. DEEP FRY THE SHAKKARPARE IN HOT OIL
  7. FRY TILL GOLDEN BROWN & CRISP, COOL & STORE IN AN AIR- TIGHT CONTAINER
