  12. Black pepper 10
  13. Tomatoes 1 cup
  14. Curry leaves 5
  15. Rasam powder 1 tsp
  16. Red chilli powder 1 tsp
  17. Turmeric 1/2 tsp
  18. Tamarind pulp 23 tsp
  19. Salt as per taste
  20. Water 3 cups
  21. For Flax seed chutney powder
  22. Flax seed 2 tsp
  23. Urad daal 2 tsp
  24. Chana daal 2 tsp
  25. Oil 1 tsp
  26. Red chilli 5
  27. Coconut pieces 2 tsp
  28. Dhania powder 2 tsp
  29. Salt
  30. For Coconut chutney
  31. Coconut pieces 1 cup
  32. Green chilli few
  33. Garlic 1 small piece

Instructions

  1. LETS START WITH IDLI...SOAK 1 CUP URAD DAAL AND 1 TSP METHI SEEDS IN WATER FOR 8 HRS
  2. TAKE 3 CUPS OF IDLI RAWA...WASH IT...SOAK RAWA ALSO FOR 8 HRS IN SEPARATE VESSEL..
  3. NOW GRIND URAD DAAL MIXTURE INTO FINE PASTE AND ADD INTO RAWA MIXTURE
  4. MIX THEM PROPERLY AND ALLOW IT TO FERMENT FOR 8 HRS...
  5. ADD SALT AND KEEP THE BATTER READY TO MAKE...
  6. LETS START FOR RASAM...PRESSURE COOK ONE CUP TOOR DAAL
  7. HEAT OIL IN PAN..ADD RAI
  8. ONCE RAI CRACKLES,ADD BLACKPEPPER,SLIT GREEN CHILLI,CURRY LEAVES
  9. NOW ADD CHOPPED GARLUC AND COOK FOR FEW MIN..ADD TOMATOES
  10. COOK TILL TOMATOES BECOME SOFT
  11. NOW ADD RASAM POWDER,TURMERIC,RED CHILLI POWDER
  12. ADD GINGER GARLIC PASTE,TAMARIND PUREE
  13. ADD COOKED TOOR DAAL AND ENOUGH WATER AND BOIL
  14. BOIL FOR TEN MIN ..FINALLY ADD SALT
  15. OFF THE GAS AND KEEP ASIDE
  16. LETS START TO MAKE FLAXSEED CHUTNEY POWDER..HEAT OIL IN PAN..ADD 2 TSP FLAX SEED
  17. ADD 2 TSP URAD DAAL,2 TSP CHANA DAAL AND ROAST TILL BROWN
  18. NOW ADD 5 RED CHILLIS
  19. ADD 2 TSP COCONUT PIECES
  20. ADD 1 TSP DHANIA SEEDS AND KEEP ROASTING..
  21. FINALLY ADD 1 TSP PEANUTS AND ROAST FOR FEW MIN
  22. ONCE COOLED .. ADD SALT GRIND IT IN JAR INTO FINE POWDER
  23. LETS START WITH COCONUT CHUTNEY,ADD 1 CUP OF COCONUT PIECES, GREEN CHILLIES,GINGER AND DALIA IN JAR
  24. ADD SALT AND GRIND IT INTO FINE PASTE BY ADDING LITTLE WATER
  25. FOR TADKA OF CHUTNEY,HEAT OIL IN KADAI,ADD RAI JEERA
  26. ADD RED CHILLIS AND CURRY LEAVES ..ONCE DONE..TRANSFER IT ON CHUTNEY
  27. LETS POUR IDLI BATTER INTO MOULDS..AND STEAM..I HAVE GREASED THE MOULDS WITH OIL
  28. STEAM IT FOR 10 MIN
  29. LETS START WITH MENDU WADA..SOAK 2 CUPS URAD DAAL AND 1 TSP METHI SEEDS IN WATER FOR 8 HRS
  30. DRAIN EXTRA WATER AND GRIND IT INTO FINE PASTE BY ADDING 1-2 TSP CURD
  31. ADD SALT,JEERA
  32. ADD GREEN CHILLI PASTE
  33. MIX THE BATTER AS MUCH AS POSAIBLE FOR FLUFFY WADAS
  34. NOW DIP UR FINGERS IN A BOWL CONTAINING WATER AND ONE DROP OIL AND TAKE SMALL BALL OF WADA BATTER
  35. MAKE SMALL HOLE IN CENTER BY THUMB AND DROP IT IN GOT OIL SLOWLY..REPEAT THE PROCESS FOR EACH WADA
  36. FRY ON MEDIUM FLAME TILL BROWN
  37. ONCE DONE..REMOVE IT FROM OIL...
  38. LETS START WITH UTTAPPA FROM IDLI BATTER..I HAVE ADDED GREEN CHILLI PASTE IN IT ..
  39. SPREAD FINELY CHOPPED ONION
  40. DRIZZLE OIL IN THE CORNERS..
  41. COOK ON BOTH SIDES..READY TO SERVE
