ABOUT Paneer Hyderabadi RECIPE

Hyderabadi Paneer is a rich and nawabi preparation of cottage cheese in the spices and cream. It is a typical style hyderabadi recipe flavored with hyderabadi masala and fresh cream. Here I have not used much vegetables, but you can add veggies of your choice along with the cottage cheese.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 300 gms paneer
  2. 2 medium size chopped onion
  3. 3 medium size tomato
  4. 1 handful of coriander leaves
  5. 1 handful of spinach
  6. 3_4 green chillies
  7. 3 tbsp yogurt
  8. 3 tbsp malai or cream
  9. 1 tsp salt(Salt to taste)
  10. 1 tsp red chilli powder
  11. 1 tsp coriander powder
  12. 1/2 tsp cumin powder
  13. 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
  14. 1 tsp kasuri methi
  15. 1/2 tsp garam masala powder
  16. 1 tsp cumin seeds
  17. 3 green cardamom
  18. 1 black cardamom
  19. 1 inch cinnamon stick
  20. 8_10 garlic cloves
  21. 1 inch ginger
  22. 4_5 tbsp oil
  23. 2 tbsp butter(Optional)

Instructions

  1. Heat a pan add 2 tbsp oil into this.
  2. Once oil heats up add chopped onions into this fry it till it becomes soft.
  3. Add green chillies, ginger,garlic and roughly chopped tomatoes into this fry it for 2_3minutes.
  4. Add spinach and coriander leaves into this. Mix well, cover this with a lid and cook for 2_3minutes on a low flame.
  5. Turn off the flame and take this off into a bowl,let it cool and make a fine paste into a grinder.
  6. Heat pan add oil into this, once oil heat up add whole hot spices into this, fry it for few seconds.
  7. Add all powdered spices into this and littile water,fry for few minutes,add the spinach and coriander paste into this, mix well.
  8. Cover the lid and cook it in low to medium flame about 2_3minutes.
  9. After 3 minutes open the lid and add yogurt and garam masala powder, mix well.fry it for 2 minutes.
  10. Add cream and cook it for 1 minute.
  11. Add paneer pieces ,mix well,cover the lid and cook on low flame for 5_6 minutes.
  12. After 5 minutes Paneer Hyderabadi is ready.Turn off the flame and serve this paneer Hyderabadi with Naan,Roti,Paratha or Steam Rice.
