ABOUT Bhutte ka Kees RECIPE

A very famous M.P wala snack found very commonly in Indore's streets.

Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. 2 cups of grated sweet corn
  2. 1 tbsp ghee
  3. 1 tsp mustard seeds
  4. 1 tsp cumin seeds
  5. Curry leaves 5-7
  6. 1 and 1/2 tsp grated ginger
  7. 2 tsp chopped green chillies
  8. 1 tsp lime juice
  9. 1/2 tsp sugar
  10. Salt to taste
  11. 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
  12. Coriander to Garnish

Instructions

  1. In a non-stick pan, put in ghee and add the mustard, cumin and curry leaves. Once it crackles, add ginger and chillies, stir it for a minute.
  2. Now add the grated corn, salt and turmeric. Mix it well. Cover with a lid for about 20 mins but keep stirring at regular intervals.
  3. Once the corn starts leaving the sides of the pan, add lime juice and sugar. Stir again.
  4. Garnish with coriander and serve it hot.

Mine is lil dry and its sticking on sides while cooking... Whats wrong with my dish...

how much sugar shud one add...is this dish on the sweeter side or one needs to just add abt a pinch or two to balance the sourness of the lime. thanks! I will cook this dish...it looks yummy and healthy.
