ABOUT Flower Samosa RECIPE

India is famous for spicy foods...when we are talking about Indian spicy food, the first name comes in our mind is samosa. But today I will not present any ordinary samosa, I will make flower samosa. They look good, taste good and perfect for any party.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. For coating:
  2. 1 1/2 Cup All Purpose Flour (Maida)
  3. 3 table spoon ghee/oil
  4. Salt to taste
  5. For Filling:
  6. 3 medium potatoes
  7. 1/2 cup green pea
  8. Half tea spoon cumin seeds
  9. Onion sliced one medium
  10. 1 table spoon Ginger Garlic paste
  11. Half tea spoon red chili powder
  12. 1 Tea Spoon Coriander Powder
  13. 1/2 tea spoon garam masala powder
  14. 1/2 teaspoon black pepper powder
  15. 1 tea spoon dry mango powder
  16. 2 table spoon finely chopped coriander leaves
  17. Salt to taste
  18. Oil for Deep frying

Instructions

  1. Add flour, oil, salt.
  2. Add water to knead a soft dough.
  3. Keep the dough covered for 20 minutes.
  4. :FOR FILLING:
  5. Heat oil and add cumin seeds.
  6. Add onion slices and saute for 2 minutes.
  7. Add ginger garlic paste and saute until raw smell goes.
  8. Mash the potatoes and add in masala.
  9. Now add all powered spices and salt.
  10. Add green peas and cook 2 minutes.
  11. Add coriander and black pepper powder.
  12. Filling ready.
  13. :SHAPING THE SAMOSA:
  14. Roll out a portion of dough in circle.
  15. Now cut with knives to get a square shape.
  16. Now fold the sides of the square.
  17. Turn it and place filling over it.
  18. Now fold the corners and bring them at the centre.
  19. Close the gaps by pinching over the dough.
  20. Now again turn it and open the petals.
  21. Now shape the petals to look realistic.
  22. Heat oil in a pan.
  23. Deep fry the samosa.
  24. When golden brown remove from oil.
  25. Serve hot and enjoy tasty, beautiful flower samosa.
