ABOUT Pudinewali wadiyan RECIPE

These minty wadis/ pakoras are a delight to have during navratri fasting. They are spongy, light on tummy and with the delicious hint of pudina / mint makes it different in taste altogether. Easy preparation, easy cooking. Do try these mint flavoured pakoras.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Urad dal - 1/2 cup
  2. Chana Dal - 1/2 cup
  3. Water
  4. Green chillies - 3 chopped fine
  5. Mint leaves(dry) - 2 tsp crushed
  6. Coriander - 3 tsps chopped
  7. Cumin powder - 1/2 tsp
  8. Black pepper powder - 1/2 tsp
  9. Asfotedia / hing - 1/8 tsp
  10. Carrom seeds / ajwain - 1/4 tsp
  11. Salt - 1 tsp or to taste

Instructions

  1. Soak the dals for 2 hours in sufficient water. Wash and Grind the dals with less or no water to a coarse paste.
  2. Add all the remaining ingredients and whisk till well combined
  3. Deep fry on medium flame
  4. Serve hot
