ABOUT Ginger rasam RECIPE

This is a very easy and quick recipe of rasam, that can be served with just some steamed rice and papad.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. Grated ginger : 1 inch
  2. Tamarind : small size
  3. Garlic : 5
  4. Tomato : 1
  5. Asafoedita : 1 pinch
  6. Salt
  7. Oil : 1 tsp
  8. Mustard seeds : ½ tsp
  9. Coriander powder : ½ tsp
  10. Chilli powder : ½ tsp
  11. Cumin seeds : ½ tsp
  12. Pepper : ½ tsp
  13. Turmeric powder : ½ tsp
  14. Coriander leaves
  15. Red chilli : 1

Instructions

  1. Dry roast cumin and pepper corn and powder it
  2. Crush the garlic and keep aside
  3. Soke the tamarin for 15 mins
  4. Heat oil in a pan add mustard seeds, curry leaves, chilli, crushed garlic, grated ginger, cumin pepper  powder and saute it
  5. Add tomato and saute it
  6. Add chilli powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder
  7. Add salt, tamarind water, required water and cook for 2 min
  8. Add coriander leaves Add asafodita
