ABOUT Soya Kand tikki RECIPE

A twist to our usual potato tikki that we eat regularly.

Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. 500 grams Sweet potatoes
  2. 1 cup soya granules.
  3. Salt
  4. Coriander
  5. Ginger paste
  6. Chilli paste
  7. 1 tbs cornflour.
  8. 1 lemon

Instructions

  1. Wash and then boil sweet potatoes in a pressure cooker. On the other hand soak soya granules for 10 mins in hot water and then rinse with cold water and remove excess water from them by pressing between ur palms
  2. Now peel of the sweet potatoes and grate them. To it add soya granules, salt, lemon, coriander, ginger and chilly paste. Mix well and check the seasoning. Now add cornflour and make big tikkis out of it. In a nonstick pan take 1 tbsp oil and cook them on both sides one by one.
  3. Once ur tikkis are crispy you may serve them with sweet tamarind chutney and spicy green chutney. Top the tikkis with thin sliced onions, carrots, capsicum and a bit of chat masala for garninshing.
