Mutton minced balls with chettinad spices

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Mutton kheema 1/4 kg
  2. Ingredients to grind:
  3. Cinnamon stick 1 nos ( half the size of index finger)
  4. Cardamom 2
  5. Cloves 3
  6. Dry chilli 5
  7. Fennel/Saunf 1 tsp
  8. Garlic 10 pods
  9. Ginger 1 inch
  10. Curry leaves 3 sprigs
  11. Small onion 10 ( or 1 medium size onion)
  12. Grated coconut 2 tbsp
  13. Roasted gram 1 tbsp
  14. Mutton masala 1 tsp
  15. Egg 1
  16. Salt (fine) 1 tsp
  17. Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Take a kadai, add 2 tsp of oil and shallow fry all the ingredients to grind except coconut & mutton masala.
  2. Turn off the stove & then add coconut and Mutton masala.Mix it and cool it down .
  3. In another kadai, add 3 tsp oil and cook the Mutton kheema till it drains all the water& dry.Cool it down.
  4. In a mixie jar add the cooled ingredients to grind & salt .pulse it to coarse mixture.
  5. Add cooked Mutton and pulse it till all gets mixed well. It should look like dough.
  6. Transfer the contents to the bowl, add egg and mix it well.
  7. Make small smooth balls and fry them. Ready.
