Pulses are a good source of protein, hence they must be included in the regular diet. So here I have made a dal with some khoya balls in them for that extra oomph factor.

Ingredients Serving: 7

  1. 200 gm Sabut moong dal [soaked overnight or 1 hr]
  2. 1 tbsp Butter
  3. 2-3 inches ginger
  4. 100 gm khoya
  5. 1 tsp Red Pepper Powder
  6. 2 tsp salt [according to taste]
  7. 1/2 tsp elaichi [cardamom] powder
  8. 1 tsp nut powder of cashew and almonds
  9. 1/2 tsp Cinnamon powder
  10. 1 tsp Lemon juice
  11. 2 onions fried sliced
  12. Maida 1/4 of khoya
  13. 2-3 silver warak
  14. Oil for fry
  15. 2 -3 tsp cream

Instructions

  1. Boil the dal along with butter,grated ginger,red pepper and salt.
  2. Knead a dough with Maida and khoya & ADD nut powder, make small balls out of the dough.
  3. Then fry it at low flame
  4. Cover the balls with silver warak immediately
  5. after some time add fried onions,elaichi& ,cinnamon powder in dal ,cook for some minutes
  6. ADD cream & lemon juice in it
  7. Dip these balls in dal
  8. Then serve it
