Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 2 litre milk
  2. 150 gm gur {Jaggery}
  3. 2 tbsp Rice
  4. Almond 10-12 Chopped
  5. cashew nuts 10-12 chopped
  6. Pista [pistachios] 8-10 chopped
  7. 1/2 tsp Cardamom powder
  8. 1 tsp Chironji [melon seeds]
  9. 12-15 Raisins

Instructions

  1. Firstly wash and soak rice in water for half an hour and keep aside.
  2. Take a pan put milk and cook for 5-10 minutes.
  3. Boil milk on medium flame and then cook on simmer flame after that add rice and cook again for 25-30 minutes or until milk gets reduced to 1/4 of it's quantity
  4. Keep string every 2-3 minutes.
  5. Now add chopped nuts and raisins,cordamom powder.
  6. Now kheer is ready switch off the flame and add grated /mashed Jaggery and mix well properly.
  7. Garnish with chopped cashews and almonds and serve this mouth-watering and delectable gur kheer warm or chilled.
