Ragi puttu, my favorite puttu of all time. I love it more than my rice puttu and wheat flour puttu.. I make sure to include ragi in my family's diet atleast once a week, i make either idiyappam, idly, crispy dosa.Ragi when made into puttu tastes so different and healthy. Love it so much. I can have it for breakfast. I always add some bananas into the puttu when i steam them because I love to mix puttu with sugar, grated coconut and ghee. Yummy it will be, So must try this recipe... Its a good one

Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. Raagi flour - 4 scoop
  2. Rice flour - 2 scoop
  3. Grated Coconut - 1/2 cup
  4. Sugar - 1 cup
  5. Salt - pinch
  6. Moong dall - 1/2 cup
  7. Ghee - 4 spoon
  8. Water

Instructions

  1. First take 4 scoops of raagi flour, 2 scoop of rice flour add pinch of salt mix well
  2. Add little water spread the flour mix well dnt mix like chapati flour , littery add water n mix simply
  3. Now sieve the mixture
  4. Like this
  5. Transfer into a vessel put a hole like this
  6. Steam the flour in cooker for 4 whistles 5 min
  7. Soak moong dall 1/2 hour after 1 /2 hr drain the water
  8. After the whistles take out, transfer into a bowl add 1 cup of sugar
  9. In the other side , heat a pan add 4 spoon ghee , soaked moong dall, saute, add grated coconut saute till it turns glossy
  10. Add the roasted ingredients to raagi mixture
  11. Mix well together
  12. Now the healthy tasty raagi puttu is ready
