This is an Indian Dish . This dish is my Grandmother’s Recipe and used to cook at our home when we were kids. Elder members in the family liked it very much. This is very simple and easily digestible dish

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. 1 Cup Whole Wheat Flour
  2. 2 tbsp Clarified Butter + For serving
  3. 1 tsp Carrom seeds
  4. A pinch of Asafoetida
  5. 1 tsp Turmeric Powder
  6. 1/4 tsp Coriander Powder
  7. 1/4 tsp Red Chili Powder
  8. Salt as per the taste
  9. 4 Cups Water or as per the requirement

Instructions

  1. Heat a pan
  2. Dry roast the whole wheat flour
  3. Roast it on low to medium flame for about 5 minutes
  4. Roast it till light brown in colour
  5. Take out in a plate
  6. Heat the same pan
  7. Add Clarified Butter into it
  8. Now add Carrom seeds
  9. Let them splutter
  10. Add Asafoetida
  11. Add turmeric powder
  12. Add Coriander Powder
  13. Add Red Chili Powder
  14. Sauté them
  15. Add water into it and wait for the first boil
  16. Start adding Flour in batches
  17. Add Salt as per the taste
  18. Stir continuously so that no lumps formed
  19. Put the gas on medium flame
  20. Stir it continuously
  21. Consistency should be little runny
  22. Switch off the gas
  23. Transfer it into the serving plate
  24. Pour 1 tsp melted Clarified Butter on it
  25. Your Lapsi is ready to serve
