ABOUT Lapsi RECIPE

Lapsi is made by Gujratis for festivals, a delicious version of the aata halwa but with the inclusion of jaggery.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. Thick wheat flour - 2 cups
  2. Ghee - 2 tbsp
  3. Water - 1 cup
  4. Jaggery - 1 cup

Instructions

  1. Boil the water and add jaggery to it. Strain the water to make sure that there are no impurities.
  2. In another saucepan, add flour and ghee together, making sure that there are no lumps.
  3. let the jaggery water boil.
  4. Once the water bubbles, add the flour + ghee mixture into it.
  5. Once the lapsi is cooked for 5-7 minutes, top it with some more ghee, and serve hot.
