This is a traditional and popular breakfast of Punjab, a filling and delicious stuffed parathas.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. 1 cup [wheat flour]
  2. 2 boiled and mashed potatoes
  3. 2 chopped onion
  4. 2 green chillies
  5. Salt
  6. 1/4 tsp cumin seeds
  7. 1/4 tsp red chilli powder
  8. 1/4 tsp ground pomegranate powder [anardana powder]
  9. Coriander leaves [handful]
  10. Butter [as required]

Instructions

  1. Knead a semi soft dough using wheat flour, salt, little oil and water. Let this rest for few minutes while we make the filling.
  2. Mash the boiled potatoes after peeling them.
  3. Now add the chopped onion to it.
  4. Add chopped green chillies and rest of the ingredients except the butter. Mix well and check for seasoning.
  5. Now divide the dough into equal parts and stuff the filling in each part. Reshape them and roll each stuffed ball out of them.
  6. Roast them on both sides on a hot tawa.
  7. Add little oil on the sides and roast them well. Serve with butter and curd on the side.
