Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. White chickpeas 1/2 kilogram
  2. Refined flour 1/2 kilogram
  3. Curd 1/2 cup
  4. Salt 2 teaspoon
  5. 1 teaspoon sugar
  6. Red pepper powder 1 teaspoon
  7. Garam masala powder 1 teaspoon
  8. Roasted cumin seeds powder 1 teaspoon
  9. Tamarind paste 2 teaspoon
  10. Lemon juice 2 teaspoon
  11. Baking powder 1 teaspoon
  12. Oil 2 teaspoon
  13. Butter 100 gram
  14. 2 onions
  15. 2 tomatoes
  16. 3-4 green chillies

Instructions

  1. Wash and soak chickpeas for atleast 6 hours.
  2. Take refined flour in a pot. Add curd, oil, 1/2 teaspoon salt, 1 teaspoon sugar and baking powder.
  3. Use water to knead it into a soft dough. Cover with a cloth and set aside for 2 hours.
  4. Now boil chickpeas with 2 glasses of water and 1 teaspoon salt for 15 minutes in pressure cooker.
  5. Add tamarind paste, red pepper powder, garam masala and chaat masala into it.
  6. Add chopped onions, chopped tomatoes and green chillies.
  7. Add lemon juice. Chole is ready to be served.
  8. Take a small portion of dough and roll into a round to make a thick flat bread.
  9. Cook from both sides on a flat pan/tava till golden. Spread butter on 1 side and serve it with the chole.
