Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. Kodo millet : 1 cup ( 150 g )
  2. Moong dal : 1/2 cup ( 75 g )
  3. Pepper Corn : 1/2 tsp
  4. Cumin seeds : 1/2 tsp
  5. Mustard seeds : 1/2 tsp
  6. Curry leaves
  7. Salt
  8. Ghee : 2 tsp
  9. Grated Ginger : 1 inch
  10. Cashew : 5-6

Instructions

  1. Pre - heat a pan, and add moong dal saute for 2 - 3 min over medium flame and keep aside.
  2. Wash the rice and dal and soak for 15 mins
  3. In a pressure cooker add rice , dal, salt  and 3 cup water ( you can add your own veggies ) and cook for 15 min over medium flame.
  4. Heat 3 tbs Ghee and add mustard seeds, cumin seeds. Let them crackle for a minute and add curry  leaves, pepper corn, cashews, grated ginger and saute for 1 minute.
  5. Add the above mixture to kichadi (cooked rice + dal) and mix well.
  6. Serve with coconut chutney
