Tilli fry or spleen fry is a healthy dish that should be eaten atleast twice a month. Spleen is a treasure house of all that extra blood needed by our bodies for the haemoglobin count. This aids in maintaining our blood count and is regarded as the most important source apart from liver and spinach. This might not be a wow kind of dish but trust me friends, it is worth trying atleast once a month. Make this for your families and stay healthy.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Goat spleen 2
  2. Ginger garlic paste 1 tsp
  3. Red chilli powder 1 tbsp
  4. Salt 1 tsp
  5. Butter 2 tbsp
  6. Oil 1 tsp
  7. Coriander leaves finely chopped 2 tbsp

Instructions

  1. Wash and cut the spleen into bite size pieces.
  2. Marinate it with all the ingredients mentioned and keep aside for 5 minutes.
  3. Heat butter and oil in a pan and add this marinated spleen to it.
  4. Saute it on high flame for a minute or so.
  5. Now cover and simmer for about 20 minutes.
  6. Add one fourth cup of water to aid it in cooking.
  7. After 20-25 minutes, it is all ready.
  8. Garnish with coriander leaves.
  9. Serve it hot alongside rotis or plain boiled rice.
