Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. Mutton - 1/2 kg, cut into pieces
  2. To cook mutton:
  3. Green chillies - 3-4, chopped
  4. Ginger - 1/2" piece, chopped
  5. Garlic - 3-4, chopped
  6. Chilli powder - 1 tbsp
  7. Turmeric - 1/8 tsp
  8. Oil - 1 tsp
  9. Salt
  10. For frying:
  11. Oil - 2 tbsp
  12. Curry leaves - handful
  13. Ginger - 1/2" piece, minced
  14. Garlic - 2, minced
  15. Onion - 1 medium, chopped finely or make paste
  16. Red Chilli Powder - 2 tbsp
  17. Garam masala - 1 tbsp
  18. Pepper powder - 1 tsp
  19. Salt

Instructions

  1. Take mutton in a pressure cooker. Add all the ingredients under 'to cook' list. Add about a quarter cup of water. And cook for 4-5 whistles. Keep aside.
  2. Heat oil in a frying pan. Add curry leaves, ginger, garlic and onion. Fry till everything is lightly browned.
  3. Add all the spice powders and put in the mutton. (U can retain the extra water and make soup or put along with the mutton in the frying pan)
  4. Add salt and mix everything.
  5. Cook till so all the water has dried.
  6. Let it fry till nicely brown.
  7. Serve hot.
