This is a simple ad no-fuss biryani made with tomatoes, a perfect dish for tiffins.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. Tomato puree 1 cup
  2. Basmati rice or normal rice 1 c
  3. Onion 1
  4. Ginger garlic paste 2 tsp
  5. Water 1/2
  6. Coriander leaves as requi
  7. Turmeric powder 1 tsp
  8. Chilli powder 1 tsp
  9. Garam masala 1 tsp
  10. Curd 2 spoon
  11. Cinnamon 2
  12. Cardamon 1
  13. Clove 2

Instructions

  1. Grind tomato to get tomato puree.and keep aside
  2. Soak basmati rice for 15-30 min
  3. In pressure cooker heat ghee,add cardamon,chinnamon,clove and saute onion till golden brown colour
  4. After add ginger garlic paste.stir well for 5 min.
  5. Now add tomato puree,salt,turmeric powder,chilli Powder,Garam masala,curd,coriander leaves
  6. ((For 1 cup of basmati rice we need 1 cup of tomato puree and half cup of water))
  7. Pour half of water and close the lid.
  8. Wait for one whistles.
  9. Now tomato biryani is ready to serve
