Soup is primarily liquid food, Serve warm or some time served chilled. Made by combing ingredients of vegetables, meat, chicken or lentils and water or liquid.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Red lentil/ lal masoor ki dal soaked 1 cup
  2. Carrot roughly chopped 1cup
  3. Tomato roughly chopped 1/2 cup
  4. Cinnamon 1/2 stick
  5. Cloves 2 nos
  6. Lemon juice as required or 1 tbsp
  7. Butter 1 tbsp
  8. Onion roughly chopped 1 medium
  9. Garlic cloves crushed 1 tbsp
  10. Ginger 1 inch piece
  11. Fresh cream for garnishing
  12. Coriander leaves for garnishing
  13. Black pepper powder to taste
  14. Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Heat the butter in pressure cooker, add lentil, carrot, garlic, onion, ginger, black Pepper, salt, cinnamon, cloves and tomatoes.
  2. Cover and cook under pressure till 2-3 whistles are given out.
  3. Switch off the gas, cool, and put into a mixer jar and grind till smooth.(discard the cinnamon and cloves before grinding)
  4. Transfer the mixture back into the pressure cooker you can use another pan too.
  5. Bring it to a boil, add lemon juice mix well. boil for 2 -3 minutes more.
  6. Pour into serving bowl, garnish with coriander leaves and fresh cream. Serve hot
