Simple dish yummy n healthy.. Thinkin of mushroom a light ingredient hs to b enlightened with mild flavouring.. So decided to gv a try to ds dish n it came out superb excellent!!:blush: I hv used corn flour for thickening instead of cream.. Actually cream enhances d flavour as well as texture of the gravy.. Corn flour simply thickens gving a bit of squashy feeling(thts fr excessive addition of corn flour) .. Add less corn flour mixture for a healthier replacement n off crse it cnt b compared wit cream. I hav used normal jeera here bt shahi jeera gvs it a better feel. Amt of butter cn b adjusted n oso d masala level can b adjusted.. Thankyou :blush::blush:

Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. Onion 4(puree)
  2. Tomato 2 n half(puree)
  3. Butter 1 tablespoon+ 1tsp for last
  4. Gg paste 1 tsp
  5. Corn flour 1/4tsp+1tsp of water
  6. Jeera 1tsp
  7. Mushroom 1 packet(diced med sized)
  8. Capsicum quarter cup,( optional)
  9. Salt as required
  10. Chilli powder 1 or half tsp
  11. Garam masala hlf tsp
  12. Turmeric powder 1/4 tsp
  13. Kasuri methi 1 n quarter tsp
  14. Sugar hlf tsp(adjust acc to taste)
  15. Water as req
  16. Coriander leaves for garnish

Instructions

  1. Start off with setting up the ingredients.
  2. Heat a kadai. Add butter n let it melt. Now add jeera n wait it to splutter completely.
  3. Add the onion paste n cook it untilk d raw smell of the paste shoos off..
  4. Add salt n gg paste to it n cook untill the moisture frm it has evaporated.
  5. Now add in the tomato puree n turmeric powder. Cook untill the mixture gathers together.
  6. Add the chilli powder n capsicum. Mix well
  7. Add in the mushrooms mix well. Add some water and cook until tender. Mine tuk approximately 15 min
  8. Add corn flour and water make a mixture n add it to d gravy. Cream is the obvis better option for corn flour. I dint hv cream add at d moment n oso fr healthier version used corn flour. However be cautious abt the measurement of the corn flour as excessive addition of corn flour leads to sticky gravy.
  9. Add kasuri methi n garam masala. Give a mix n simmer it for 2 min.
  10. Add butter n turn off the heat...Here we go, yummy mushroom butter masala is ready to b tasted :yum::yum::yum:
