As a kid we used to eat an intermediate tiffin around 3.00 pm . My grandmother who is an excellent cook would make this for me all the time. Whenever I make this I think about my grandma I make this

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 2 cups rice flour
  2. 5-6 teaspoons oil
  3. Mustard seeds 1 tsp
  4. 7-8 curry leaves
  5. 4-5 dry red chilies
  6. 4-5 teaspoons urad dal
  7. 1/2 cup water
  8. Hing 1 pinch

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in a heavy bottom pan
  2. Add mustard seeds, ural dal, hing and curry leaves and let it splutter
  3. Add red chilies and water. Mix well
  4. Add rice flour and mix well over low heat
  5. Add salt and mix well.Saute until flour is cooked well, around 6-7 minutes
  6. Rice flour will separate into tiny bits once its cooked. Serve hot
