Healthy and green fritters. Also is a famous street food in madurai.it is a sourashtra cuisine. The leaves have medicinal properties and rich in magnesium,iron,calcium,fiber,potassium etc .

Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. Bhangarapan leaves / mullu murungai leaves - 1/2 cups
  2. Rice flour - 1 cup
  3. 1/4 cup maida
  4. Salt to taste
  5. Black Pepper powder -2 Tablespoons
  6. Oil for deep fry

Instructions

  1. Separate leaves from stalks. Clean thoroughly
  2. Grind leaves with water and strain. Keep it aside
  3. In a bowl, add flours, salt and black pepper. Mix well
  4. Add green juice as required
  5. Add oil and Knead soft dough
  6. Form lemon sized balls and shape like fritters/papdis with greased palms
  7. Deep fry the fritters until golden brown
  8. Drain excess oil
  9. Serve hot with idly powder.
