its a traditional dessert from gujrati ,its a heirloom recipe,always made during festivals,made out of gram flour ghee and sugar tastes awesome and can be preserved for 10 days

Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. Gram flour 1 cup
  2. Ghee 3/4 cup
  3. Sugar 1 cup
  4. Milk 2 tablespoon
  5. Ghee 1 teaspoon
  6. Cardmom powder 1 teaspoon
  7. Mawa 1/2 cup
  8. Water for sugar syrup 1/2 cup
  9. Chopped dry fruits 2 teaspoon
  10. Edible silver foil to garnish
  11. Saffron strands soaked in milk

Instructions

  1. Take gram flour in big bowl
  2. Add 2 teaspoon of milk
  3. Add 2 teaspoon of ghee
  4. Just mix it and bind it
  5. Press all the gram flour with palm and fingers
  6. Keep aside for 5-7 minutes
  7. Now seive it with large hole seiver
  8. Add ghee to pan
  9. As it becomes warm add gram flour
  10. Roast it on slow flame
  11. On the other side make sugar syrup
  12. Add water to sugar
  13. Keep for boiling
  14. Make 2 strings syrup
  15. Pan will leave ghee from sides
  16. Add mawa to pan
  17. Roast for 3-4 minutes
  18. Add sugar syrup
  19. Keep mixing till it turns like dough
  20. Add cardmom powder and saffron soaked
  21. Remove it in greased plate
  22. Add chopped dry fruits and press with bowl
  23. Apply edible silver foil /warq
  24. When it cools down cut into pieces
  25. Keep it in airtight container.
