ABOUT MUSHROOM MASALA STUFFED IDLI RECIPE

All in one recipe. Mainly it's a lunchbox recipe for all kids and office goers. Mushroom always made for rotis and flavoured rice. This is an innovative idea of mine to please to my kid during school days. Healthy easy and no pre hand preparation needed. Must try recipe.

Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. Button mushrooms 6 numbers
  2. Onion 1
  3. Tomato 1
  4. Garlic 4 Cloves
  5. Sambhar powder 1tsp
  6. Pepper powder 1/2tsp
  7. Turmeric powder 1/4tsp
  8. Oil 2tsp
  9. 1tsp butter
  10. Salt to taste
  11. coriander leaves little
  12. For making idli batter
  13. 4cup boiled idli rice
  14. 1cup urad dhal
  15. 1tsp fenugreek seed

Instructions

  1. Soak all the batter ingredients and grind to a fine batter.
  2. Batter has to ferment well to make idli.
  3. Cut mushroom, onion, garlic and tomato into small pieces.
  4. Get ready with all the powders.
  5. In a wok add oil. Add garlic and onion and saute well.
  6. Add mushroom and saute till the water in the mushroom gets evaporated. Now add tomatoes and all the powders and mix well.
  7. After two minutes add coriander.
  8. After mixing well add a tsp of butter.
  9. Mix well and transfer it into a bowl.
  10. Now prepare Idli plates by applying oil.
  11. Fill half of idli batter.
  12. Now place​ 2tsp of mushroom masala like this.
  13. Cover idli batter on top.
  14. It's ready to steam.
  15. Steam it for 10mts. Mushroom masala stuffed idli is ready to consume.
