ABOUT Pumpkin With Chicken And Oats RECIPE

A very Healthy dish with super foods pumpkin, oats and chicken. A power packed nutritious dish which is easy and quick to make and taste delicious.

Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. Chicken - 300 gms
  2. Pumpkin - 150 gms cubed
  3. Oats - 3 tbsp 
  4. Cumin seeds - ½ tsp 
  5. Ginger garlic paste - 1 tsp 
  6. Onion - 1 large chopped 
  7. Green chilies - 2 chopped 
  8. Tomato - 1 large chopped 
  9. Turmeric powder - ½ tsp 
  10. Coriander powder - 1 tsp 
  11. Chilly powder - ½ tsp 
  12. Cumin powder - ½ tsp 
  13. Garam masala powder - 1 tsp 
  14. Pepper powder - ¼ tsp 
  15. Oil - 2 tbsp 
  16. Salt to taste 
  17. Water - 1-1½ cup 
  18. Coriander leaves for garnish 

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in a pan. Add cumin seeds and let it splutter. 
  2. Add ginger garlic paste, onion and green chillies and saute for about 2 mins. 
  3. Add tomatoes, stir well and let it turn mushy. 
  4. Add the masala powders and saute. Sprinkle some water and cook for few mins.  Add chicken, salt to taste,  stir and mix well with the masalas. Cook for about 10 mins till the moisture released by chicken dries up. 
  5. Add the pumpkin and water and cook for 5 mins. Add oats, stir and cook for about 5 mins and take off the heat. 
  6. Garnish with coriander leaves and serve.
